The Renoir grant :

In 1986, Claude and Evangeline Renoir, in cooperation with their friend, Claude Justet, created the Renoir Association, the goal of which was to encourage young professional artists (under 40) in their work.

Applicants are selected according to their application file by expert judges.

The successful candidate will get free accommodation in Essoyes where they will work for 3-4 months. Sponsored by Champagne Veuve Devaux, they will be attributed a grant by the Association which will also organisze exhibitions to show their work.

The application deadline is mid-april 2011. The files are then passed on to the Association judges who will select a candidate.
